Faith, Friends, Fun

Kids Club Sunday School is a welcoming space where children learn about God’s love through fun, friendship, and faith. Each Sunday, kids are invited to explore Bible stories, songs, crafts, and games in a safe and caring environment. Our aim is to help children grow in their understanding of Jesus, while building lasting friendships and discovering the joy of belonging to God’s family. Supported by dedicated leaders, the program encourages curiosity, kindness, and creativity. Families are warmly invited to join us as we nurture faith, celebrate community, and journey together in Christ’s love.

Read, Reflect, Renew

Bible Study is a welcoming space for people of all ages to gather, share, and grow in faith together. Meeting regularly, we explore the Scriptures through open discussion, prayer, and reflection, seeking to deepen our understanding of God’s Word and its relevance for everyday life. Our group provides encouragement, fellowship, and a safe place to ask questions as we journey together in faith. Through study, conversation, and support, we aim to strengthen our relationship with Christ and with one another. Everyone is invited to join as we learn, share, and grow in God’s love and truth.

Faith through Song

Music Team is a joyful gathering of singers and musicians who share a passion for praising God through music. We come together to rehearse, learn, and grow in our gifts, supporting the worship life of the parish and creating an atmosphere of celebration and reflection. Whether through traditional hymns or contemporary songs, our aim is to inspire and uplift the congregation while drawing hearts closer to Christ. Open to all skill levels, the group provides friendship, encouragement, and the joy of making music together. Everyone with a love of music is warmly invited to join and participate.

cursillo

Cursillo is a Journey of Faith and Renewal. Cursillo, means “short course” in Spanish, and is a movement within the worldwide Christian Church that seeks to strengthen and renew the faith of individuals and to inspire them to live out their discipleship in everyday life.

It began in Spain in the 1940s and has since spread throughout the world, including Anglican, Catholic, and other Christian communities.

The Anglican Cursillo Movement was introduced to the Diocese of Perth in September 1992 and currently there are some 2,500 people in 120 parishes throughout Western Australia who attend Cursillo.

At its heart, Cursillo is about encountering Christ in a deeper way and learning how to share His love with others. The experience typically begins with a three-day retreat filled with prayer, worship, talks, fun and fellowship.

These talks, delivered by both clergy and laypeople, explore key aspects of Christian faith, such as grace, piety, study, and action. Participants are encouraged to reflect on their personal relationship with God, and to see how faith can be lived authentically in family life, work, and community.

Yet Cursillo does not end with the retreat. It is the beginning of a lifelong journey. Participants are invited to join ongoing small groups and regular gatherings, where they support one another in prayer, accountability, and encouragement.

Here at the Anglican Parish  Kwinana we meet monthly with a communal breakfast followed by our group prayer and discussion meeting. These are most popular and are a joyous time of comradery.

Cursillo is not about adding more to an already busy life. Instead, it is about living daily life with greater awareness of God’s presence, deeper joy in faith, and a renewed sense of purpose in serving others.

Many participants describe it as a joyful, transforming experience that renews their faith and strengthens their commitment to Christ and His Church.
